Find a way to help that fits your life
There is no single “right” way to volunteer. Your interests, schedule, abilities, and comfort level all matter.

Deliver ResourcesUsually about 1 hour
Use your own vehicle to deliver pantry items and approved necessities. Routes are usually 4–5 homes and clustered when possible.

- 1st Tuesday morning, 2nd Thursday morning, 3rd Wednesday evening, and last Tuesday morning
- Good to know
- Dates sometimes shift and holidays may add deliveries. Mileage is not currently reimbursed.
- Physical
- Items may weigh up to 50 lbs. A rolling cart is a helpful alternative.
- Also
- Occasional pharmacy pickup and medication delivery needs are posted separately.
Pack Delivery Boxes1–2 hours monthly
Help prepare boxes at Consolidated Christian Ministries at 9:00 a.m. on the morning before the second-Thursday delivery. Time varies with the number of volunteers.
Make Companion CallsTime varies weekly
Build consistent social connection with Madison County neighbors who are lonely or isolated. Each call lasts approximately 30 minutes to one hour, and a volunteer may make several calls in a week. This ongoing role requires a volunteer age 18 or older.
Provide TransportationAs needs arise
Offer approved rides for nonmedical necessities or healthcare access. Driving roles require a valid license, proof of insurance, and applicable training.
Accompany a NeighborAs needs arise
Attend an approved healthcare appointment with a neighbor who is afraid, needs advocacy, or has difficulty navigating the visit alone. Applicable preparation and visit documentation are required.
Help Navigate a NeedVaries by case
Take on an approved case by exploring solutions, identifying resources, finding sponsors, building partnerships, and coordinating follow-up.
Support an EventOne event or a planning season
Help with an individual event or join a committee. Meeting schedules vary by event.

Contribute Your SkillsFlexible and needs-based
Volunteer engagement, coordination, communications, social media, partnerships, sponsorships, fundraising, administrative work, and other specialized skills can all strengthen the mission. Current needs change over time.
